connection problem handycam via PC

hello to everyone.

I like to have your help.

I have a camera Handycam DRC-505E and I revised the managing program with the last revision of Play Memory Home program. (I use windows 7).

Unfortunately something going rang and the program isn't recognizing the camera.

When I make the connection with USB cable I don't have any indication from the program or the camera.

It looks to me that probably is a problem with the relevant drivers. How and where Can I find the correct driver for my case.

ANY HELP??

i have a dcrhc27e i have only used this once and now it wont let me put a cassette in and shut or shut without cassette if it does shut it says reinstate cassette can anyone help

Currently DCR-TRV285E model doesn't support the memory stick, Is it possible to make a memory slot and record directly into memory stick instead of tape cassette

I am unable to use the touchscreen of my hc-51e anymore. also calibration is not working, i have also tried a complete reset + calibration - nothing was solving my problem ...

It is very annoying and frustrating not to be able to play back a video. I hopemthere is a solution to this

Hello

Could anyone tell me is this camcorder which is a uk version 1920x1080?

Reason why i'm asking this is when i upload files onto you tube and play them back there never is a 1080 option just the 720 one.

And comparing the 1080 files with 720 they look a lot better.

I upload onto a imac and edit in imove,then upload onto you tube if that helps anyone.

Also there is no 1080 option in the cams menu,i just set it for the highest quality,but i think its just records at 720.

Can anyone advise please..

I have a HDR-PJ260 handycam. I don't know whether I am doing something wrong or I have a problem which you can help me with.

I'm trying to import the .MTS files from the camera to my Windows 7 PC using Play Memories Home so I can edit them in Sony Vegas Pro 12.

When I import my files into Vegas I only have 2 channels of audio.

I right click the MTS file from the camera to view its details and it indeed states that the video only has 2x 48hz channels at a bitrate of 256.

Why are my files not outputting at 5.1?

The audio option on the camera when recording is set to 5.1 and I have the little 5.1ch icon on the cameras LCD with the level bars for the 6 channels.

When I playback on the camera it says 5.1ch on the LCD screen, but as soon as I import into Windows it shows up as 2ch. I have tried importing using play memories home as stated, importing via USB connection directly into Vegas Pro, and also just dragging and dropping from the SD card in Windows explorer. All of these methods still only leave me with a 2.0ch audio track.

Am I doing something wrong?

Hi,

I'm looking for a Windows 7 64bit driver for a DSR-PD175P camcorder. The cameral works fine with 32bit Windows 7 but we've upgraded the PC and need to utilise more memory hence 64bit.

Any help would be appreciated as this is now effecting production.

Can't install Sony Playmemories

I am having trouble installing Sony Playmemories for my HDR-CX320E camcorder. An error message keeps recurring stating;

"Installation canceled because communication with the network was lost. Please check your network connection."

I am having no problem with my internet connection, so can anybody advise me where the problem may lie? Windows Vista is my operating system. Any help would be much appreciated.

[Q] HDR-CX130E cannot safely disconnect USB?

Hi,

After connecting my HDR-CX130E to my Win7 PC, I cannot disconnect safely through the safely disconnect hardware feature of Win7, because my camera is not listed as a USB device.

When I press the X on the LCD (after setting up the USB connection) the camera asks me to disconnect my computer first. This normaly means that I have to use the safely remove hardware feature of Windows before disconnecting to avoid damage to the usb device. But my camera is not listed as a device to safely remove. When I disconnect the USB cable first (as the camera suggest) I get a message on the LCD "check connection".

So my question is, how to safely disconnect my camera from the pc? Can I just press the x on the lcd and then just confirm the message to disconnect my computer first? Or do I have to do something else?

Help is much appreciated.

I have a filter to protect the lens on my HDR 780. If I fit the filter I cannot fit the lens hood. It won't fix on properly. It seems to be a filter or the lens hood but not both which is odd.

When I import files from DCR-SR72 to my computer, all files are MPEG-2 format, and resolution is 720x576. I expected HQ to mean at least 1080p. Is it possible at all to export video files from DCR-SR72 with higher resolution than 720x576?

Hello to everyone!

Have a

Sony Handycam dvd( will specify exact model later) and have a trouble:

after shooting a video with this cam, the disk cannot be closed on the camera thus making impossible to read it on a pc/dvd readers. But this disk is played by the camera itself. Also, there are some disks, that are not even played by the camera. Googled the web and found CDRoller software to solve the issue, but are there any original software suitable for the task?

What was done:

Shot the movie

Got the trouble:

1 button "finalize disk" is dark/ non-operational

2 successfully finalized disk.

The Trouble:

1 Disk can be read only by camera and not by the pc

2 cannot be read at all.

What do i want: to get the data.

Hope, that make it as clear as blue sky in the middle of the day

Looking for a camcorder (seen Sony CX250 on Amazon) to video school plays.

I usually film from the back to get a good wide view and zoom in when necessary.

Struggle with sound though.

Is there a camcorder with built in mic zoom, do I buy an external mic or perhaps even a wireless mic.

I have seen Sony ECM-HW2 wireless mic which could be placed at the front of the stage but not sure if it will pick up voices several feet away as the mic is a 'clip on'. Would an external mic that you point to the subject be better. Any advise would be appreciated.

This model has 8 GB internal, I know that there is a software "Memory Card File Rescue Software Ver.3.1" that SONY provides. For donwload the software it is necessary to put a reference memory, the only information that I have is internal type "8GB Internal Memory, Memory Stick "how do I? Will it work?

HDR-CX410 handycam accessory shoe not compatible with ECM-CG50 microphone?

I have a new Sony HDR-CX410 handycam and have purchased the external microphone ECM-CG50 specifically for it. It is the high quality microphone I want and the compatibility list for the ECM-CG50 microphone specifies the HDR-CX410 camcorder as being compatible.

However it seems it is not compatible. The microphone holder that came with the ECM-CG50 does not fit in the accessory shoe on the camcorder, and neither does the adapter that came with the microphone.

How can I attach this microphone to sit securely on top of the camcorder? Or are they just not compatible at all...?

HOW DO I FIX A RECORDING OF AN AMATEUR THEATRE RECORDING AFTER ACCIDENTALLY HAVING THE NIGHTSHOT PLUS SWITCHED ON. THE WHOLE SHOW PLAYS BACK IN MOSTLY GRAY AND BLUE. THERE WERE A LOT OF BRIGHT COLOURS - REDS, YELLOWS, GREENS ETC BUT MOST HAVE COME OUT AS ABOVE.

HDR-SR7 LENS STABILIZATION MALFUNCTION

I bought an HDR-SR7E in July 2007, and one year ago after 30 minutes of using it, the lens started to make a small vibration (it can be felt if you touch the lens ring) and the image moves very fast up and down as a lens stabilization malfunction. Does anyone suffer this also? I tried to reset the camera but the Reset button is a soft reset, and turning on/off the lens stabilization does not change anything. Does anyone knows the way to make a hard reset of the camera?
