Support needed about CMOS image sensor iMX036 documentation

I need some documentation about iMX036 (3MegaPixel CMOS image sensor).

It is hard for me to get to the technical support team, so I'll be grateful if anyone could provide some information about this sensor or at least e-mail address of the support team to contact to.

Hi, I'm trying to get in touch with someone at Sony, but can't seem to find a way to send an e-mail detailing what the problem is, so I'll write it here, maybe the community can help, (I hope).

So, on April 05 of this year my SONY VAIO VGN-TT11VN/X was stolen from my house. At first I only proceeded with the legal stuff, (police report and talking with my attorney), but then I remembered that I registered this product when I bought it, back in 2009, so there had to be some way to let SONY and any repair affiliate know that if this VAIO appeared for a repair or any other requirement it was stolen, but I hadn't logged in for so long, I don't know what happened, I came here and the laptop is not listed in "My Products," even though I have a copy of what I entered as product registration. I have a Cyber Shot as a product but no laptop. So I tried to register it again, but I believe that for it being so old it can't be done, so I tried to find an e-mail to send this problem to SONY themselves, but can't find one.

The other possibility is that it's not on my products "here" because at the time I made an account on "club.vaio.eu," but that page is down for the time being.

I know this is hard to understand, but I hope someone here can at least send me in the right direction as to where to write to explain my situation.

James Bond and Spiderman DVD Scam from Sony

Over a month after applying for the "Free James Bond & Spiderman DVDs" offered by Sony I got back a standard letter rejecting my application on technical grounds. I suspect the idea is no one actually gets the items or only a tiny percentage of people purchasing the expensive TVs.

There is a load of paperwork to fill out then you fire it off to a PO Box in Diss Norlfolk. They ask for your original receipt - the only proof of purchase you have !

In my case I was also applying for the 5 year warranty at the same time - let's hope that doesn't turn out to be a scam as well. So I send 2 A4 sized copies of the receipt. The receipt was to the same address as the application for the DVDs so nothing fishy.

You have let yourselves down Sony. I was disappointed not to find the DVD in the packaging so I could enjoy 55 inches of 3D entertainment. We'd even spent a couple of hundred quid on 3D glasses (which don't come with the TV !) in readiness. All in all a disapointment.

I'm left thinking of the Hoover free flights scam of 1992.

It was fantastic having the opportunity to have a look at the new product lines for 2013. From slicing oranges on the new Xperia Tablet, to waterproof headphones, a must for all swimmers, and even the appearance of something that slightly resembled the Rolly, but cooler

The new TV range was awesome, coupled with demonstrations by guys who were totally passionate about the product, made this part of the evening just mind blowing. What can I say, the 4K was to die for, even up close, and I mean like centimeters away from the screen, the quality was superb, a must for anyone with a spare £25k. Even for more modest amounts, with X-reality Pro picture processing, triluminos colour and 2K up-scaling the picture quality available is fantastic, especially when compared side-by-side with the Samsung !!

The visit helped me make up my mind about which Home Cinema system to go for, something I’d been thinking about for a while. The demonstration flipping the sound between the conventional speakers and the NASA inspired magnetic fluid speakers sealed the deal and showed that Sony recognises that it is the whole visual and audio experience that counts.

The prototype “hand-made” TV, with the built-in magnetic fluid sound system looked amazing and sounded even better (if that is possible), the reaction on everyone’s face when Adele hit those high
notes was priceless.

To finish the evening, the hospitality continued with a chip butty and a pint of Guinness. Epic

Is there any way to combine accounts, The reason being that I have registered one product with a particular email address, I have then registered another product but with a different email address. I have tried to update one address to the other but failed as the address was already in use (by me!)

On the "My Sony" menu, under "My Account", it states ..

"If you haven't filled in all of your details yet, don't worry. It's simple, quick and secure. You can also change here your My Sony email address and password."

However, I can't find anywhere under my account details where I can change the email address.

Hello,

Can anyone help me with an email or contact number where I can register a complaint? I have contacted customer service number of time via email and phone, but with no success.

I had purchased an extended warranty with Sony Vaio E14 laptop. I requested Sony on 14 Feb 2013 to cancel the extended warranty and refund the money. I can cancel the warranty any time in 45 days from the date of purchase. I have no idea what's going on as customer service is not responding back with a satisfactory reply. I wonder does it take so many days to refund a valid return request?

Is there anyway that I can escalate to someone who can address it?

I recently picked up a Sony BDP-S185 Blu-ray player, which is the Spiderman pack that is plastered in stickers indicating I am entitled to a free copy of the movie. Now I'm aware that the movie isn't out yet, but I have no idea how to redeem the film as nothing is in the pack.

I've looked on the Sony website where there is an article about the offer but very little information, and googling it doesn't help.

Playstation 4 Thread

So what does everyone think so far?

Specs looked pretty good. Especailly 8GB of very high speed RAM and a 6x Blu-ray drive. One benefit ofa 6x Blu-ray is that you can potentially run games from disc directly if required rather than the mandatory installation that you have on some titles.
Social seems to play a very big part especially with easy sharing of content and cloud gaming

Great developer support with the additon of Bungie and Blizzard in addition to existing partners.
No mention of 4K yet, but confirming it has physical media support and with a 4k standard for Blu-ray on the horizon, I'm hopeful

Like most people, I really want to see the chassis itself, but guess we'll have to wait until maybe E3 or something until that is revealed. But so far so good i think.

What do you think?

Why have Sony got no complaints procedure?

I bought a KDL 46HX853 in November of last year and despite exchanging it twice I still have a problem with the sound. I now find myself in a situation where on the last exchange no new extended warranty cetificate was issued by the Sony Service Centre and the original retailer, a Sony Centre, has ceased trading. Whatever telephone number I ring I seem to get through to the same department, who seem unable to help. Is there no escalation procedure in Sony? When the original TV was exchanged a young lady from the warranty department rang me to confim serial numbers for the new certificate so I know they excist so why can't anyone give me the contact details?

DVD recorder RDR-DC205 switches itself off.

My RDR-DC205 powers up ok but after about 30 seconds switches itself off. I believe this to be related to the power regulator because I had a similr problem on a JVC DVD recorder. I have seen the fault posted elsewhere on this site. The JVC repair cost me about £2.50 so I think a similar solution is possible. Just need to know which component has failed. Can anyone help?

Complaints Department - does one exist?

I'm new to this forum and to be honest I'm hoping that this last port of call will actually get me somewhere.

I bought a Sony Vaio laptop in August this year. After a couple of weeks it stopped working and I contacted customer services several times. After a lot of phone calls it was agreed that the laptop was faulty and would be collected and returned.

The laptop was collected and I was told that they would look at giving me a replacement. This was then agreed.

I was promised a replacement and after several more phone calls I was finally told that there would not be a replacement sent out so I decided to go for a refund instead.

Since then I have lost count of the number of phone calls I have made to the Customer Service number, I have been promised a refund over and over again and it is now the end of November and there is still no refund.

I have no laptop and am out the best part of £500 and I cannot get any help or support from anyone at all.

I am now desperately trying to get hold of someone in customer service who can actually process my refund and not just tell me over and over again that they will do.

I hope that someone on this forum can help me once and for all.

I am having terrible trouble trying to contact anyone in Sony to get an update of my products which were originally ordered Oct 4th or to even make an official complaint.

I have spoken to at least 10 different members of the Sony customer care team and then got told that my case would be dealt with by the manager, however since then (which was a month ago) I am still chasing them and have no contact, not even an apology from Sony who have received payment for the products, as to where they are. I have tried emailing a complaint and phoning the manager in question but each time he seems to conveniently be 'out'. I wondered whether anyone has had a situation like this or knows the next best step for me to take? I am at a complete loss with a company I previously regarded as having very good customer care and an excellent reputation.

Yes, it’s hard to believe but I am taking a 9 month break from my Masters, and one of the things on my list of “things to do” is update all my PowerPoint presentations.

I’m sure most of you have either presented using PowerPoint or have at least sat through a PowerPoint presentation, so my question is:

What for you makes a good or bad presentation? any tips, hints and advice?

I usually present at least a couple of times a week and have different groups that I present to, e. g. in lectures to university students, in meetings with professional colleagues and in communicating information to groups of “lay people".

I bought a Sony TV with £100 cashback offer & was duly sent a prepaid Visa card. The card expires 01/13 so I thought I'd best use it so ordered some items from Amazon. The first item went through fine but the second order sent about 3 hours later was declined by the card. Anyone know how to get round this? Who to contact (& how?)
