After a hard system crash requiring a complete clean re-install of w2k, my Sonic Stage will no longer transfer many of my mp3 files to Hi-MD (they worked fine before the re-install). The files were placed in an external HD and not affected by the re-install. However the following error message is generated by SS: "Transfers are not allowed <file name>."
What I have tried so far (w/o success): editing/removing mp3 tags. Letting SS go online to verify whatever it verifies on the 'GET CD INFO' server.
The files were not downloaded from any online server, they were all ripped from CDs using Nero. The files are not copyright protected (they transferred fine before the re-install).
Converting the files to wav format using another app (SS refuses to do that too), allows transfer to Hi-MD, but I get only 5 - 7 tracks onto a MD; I bought MD to get more, not less, music on a disc, so converting everything to wav format is not practical.
The previous version of SS which delivered with the Walkman will not now re-install. I was forced to install a newer version of SS, as below:
SonicStage : 4.3.01.14050
SonicStage Add-on for MD Walkman : 2.0.05.15180

Can anyone suggest what to try next?

MZ-NH1 doesn't support native mp3 files, SonicStage has to convert it into atrac file to be playable on NH1

Since u r using W2k os, I don't get how come it doesnt work well weirdo...
