Please tell me what Sony are going to do now that Waterstones have joined with Amazon.   We need suitable software to continue reading scientific and technical eBooks on our format.   Any help or advice would be welcome.   George

George, there are a lot of other "shops" out there, depending on what your specific fields are.

But there are a number of search engines, listed on MobileRead, the only source I'm aware of, and a trawl of Google will come up with more, I'm sure, some of them specialising in technical e-publications.

    Oh, and check your PMs.

talk about shooting yourself in the foot. this is surely the beginning of the end for waterstones. I suspect that they just didnht have the money to rewamp stores and had to ask amazon for help. once you have bought your kindle amazon will reap all the rewards.

I've always considered that Waterstones ebook prices are higher than WH Smith/Kobo or anywhere else for that matter so it's no big deal to me.

However have they stated that they will no longer supply epub books

As for 'what will Sony', not a lot really as they're nowt to do with 'em.
