Hi,

Is it ok to put the memory stick from a higher grade camera in my case a DSC-HX1 Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo into a DSC-T70. I onl antto download them on to my PC as I have lost the cable to the DSC-HX1.

If yes, will it affect the picture quaity and can it cope with Panoramic.?

Hello Zoe - Welcome to the Sony Forums

In theory, the data on the memory stick should remain unchanged when you insert it into another camera and then use the USB connection to download the data to a PC. Although the camera may not display the panoramic element of an image, once you get the file onto a PC this will be available once again with the correct software. In effect, you are just using the camera as a means of getting the information off the card and it should remain unaffected.

If you do experience any problems with this, you could also just purchase a basic memory card reader for under £10 - this would then come in handy for any other types of memory card that you have.

    Thanks,

    Simon
