RDR-HXD995 new channel found everytime i turn it on

My RDR-HXD995 worked fine until two months ago when it started saying new channels have been found and instead it actually lost all the channels. I found the update supplied by Sony the website and it now retains all the channels. However everytime i turn it on it still comes up with that same message "new channels have been found". Just wondering if there was anyway to solve this as it can't be finding new channels that often.

    This can be disabled via options where you can stop the system from looking for new channels.

    Unfortunately you cannot disable the channel update for the recorder. The problem is similar to all other re-tuning issue on these models. Just apply the same solution: reset to factory setting, unplug it from main and go over the easy setup procedure (including re-tuning th device). You should not have any more (at least for some times) the problem.
