All other online services appear to be present, or should I say all free services are available. The problem seems to be the identification of our player to a paid service. We only subscribe to LOVEFiLM. Connection is good and quality is fine. The couple of films that have been watched on this device have been ok. The service is connecting to other devices with no problems, so we know it is not a LOVEFiLM problem or a connection problem. Thanks.

Yes coliin55, we have regerstered with both Sony essentials and the sony entertainment site.

We have just tried it and it is working at the moment, lets keep it all crossed. This looks to me to be a software hickup, that hopefully sony will sort out promptly. Thanks for your attention.
