Great DAB radio

I needed to upgrade my radio in my Mk6 fiesta as it didn't have dab+ and I couldn't connect to my phone. As I'm not a fan of anything touch screen this radio was the perfect choice to replace the factory Sony. It looks like what may have been fitted by the factory as a luxury option. Sound quality is excellent and it has a control dial instead of touchscreen. It works with the original column controls. Only extra work was applying the dab aerial to the screen, and sourcing the extra surround.

Das Autoradio, Sony-DSX-B710D, hatte anfangs sehr gut funktioniert. Plötzlich, nach 20 Monaten, während der Fahrt, verstummte das Radio, verlor die komplette Programmierung und ging in den Ursprungsmodus zurück. Also, kein Ton, aber ein bunt wechselndes Display. Habe zurückgestellt, neu programmiert, alles gut. Aber eben nur 1 Monat, dann dasselbe Spiel. Wochen später, ist das Display eingefroren, kein Zugriff mehr auf das Radio. Motor ausgeschalten, Display hat trotzdem noch geleuchtet. Nach 15 Minuten, wieder programmierbar. Ich denke, dass es vielleicht mit dem Parring der 2 Handys zu tun haben könnte. Zu viele Adressen, die gespeichert werden müssen. Habe bei Sony nach einem Update für dieses Radio gesucht, bin nicht fündig geworden.

Naja - leider Pech gehabt!

Im Juni 2021 gekauft. Die in der Artikelbeschreibung angegebene DAB+ Antenne kam erst nach mehrmaligen Nachfragen beim Verkäufer nachgesendet. Ich habe das Autoradio für 150 Euro beim Fachhändler einbauen lassen und fuhr in den Urlaub. Nach über einem Monat später konnte ich das Radio endlich testen. Doch leider geht es aus, wenn es zu warm im Fahrzeug wird. Anschließend startet es neu, um wieder auszugehen. Leider ist die Widerrufsfrist mittlerweile abgelaufen. Also habe ich das Gerät zu einem Servicecenter von Sony kostenfrei einsenden lassen. Dort ist der Fehler nicht aufgetreten. Ich bekam das Radio zurück, habs wieder einbauen lassen und es hat das selbe Problem. Jetzt habe ich es aktuell wieder in der Reparatur, also heißt es Abwarten wie es weiter geht. Nach Möglichkeit würde ich gerne das Gerät zurückgeben.

mir gefällt die Änderungsmöglichkeit der Displayfarbe sehr gut. Die Bedienung ist sehr einfach. Ein zuvor gekoppeltes Smartphone verbindet sich beim Einschalten des Radios automatisch wieder.

Great unit poor support

Head unit is great but not really universal 2 din fit. Cage is a faff to fit (mine is in a Vauxhall/opal corsa D) trim around the unit quite often needs adapting. Has a voice input facility but SONY don't help with how to use (nothing on paper or the internet) Sound and features are good, bluetooth connectivity is good
