Some people were never keen on the “cramped” ergonomics of the A7III, A9 and A7R III with the smaller grip. Your pinky finger awkwardly dangled off the end and big lenses made the cameras feel very front heavy and didn’t handle great. That said, I love how those cameras are almost pocketable. The vertical battery grip completely resolves most ergonomic issues with that generation of cameras. The camera is beautifully balanced with heavy lenses, your pinky finger sits perfectly in a smooth groove, and it just transforms how the camera handles. The extra lower grip is also excellent to hold with your other hand to steady the camera to ensure sharp images at lower shutter speeds. Made from mostly magnesium with plastic ends, it feels very well made, solid, good in the hand and looks great on the camera with seamless integration. For me, a grip is an essential accessory for these small cameras and gives incredible versatility to transform a very compact body into a solid camera for use with big lenses.

The main advantage of this grip is obviously better purchase on the body if you have bigger hands, or are using bigger high quality lenses,to help balance out the camera, ability to comfortably use the camera in portrait orientation, and of course have incredible battery duration for a shoot. The grip feels high quality with plenty of duplicate buttons from the main body. The only downside is of course, losing the small compact nature of the Sony Alpha bodies and increased weight.

Ich benutze seit der A300 Sony-Kameras nur mit Hochformatgriffen - zum einen, um die "Stromvorräte" zu erweitern, zum anderen, um meinen recht großen Händen einen Gefallen zu tun. Dabei habe ich immer auf die Originalgriffe von Sony vertraut. Keine Ahnung, ob die preiswerten Nachbauten schlecht sind, aber ich habe noch nie verstanden, warum man sich eine teure Kamera anschafft und dann beim Zubehör spart. Wobei ich die Preise bei Sony als durchaus "saftig" bezeichnen würde. Resümee: Wie alle bisherigen Griffe, versieht auch der VG-C3EM brav und zuverlässig seinen Dienst, macht einen rundum wertigen Eindruck und bietet einen sicheren Griff.

Habe den Batteriegriff von einer Freundin bekommen die ihn nicht braucht. Ich habe ihn an meiner A7 r III, leider notwendig mit großen Händen um die Kamera sicher bedienen und halten zu können. Gerade beim Portraitshooten fällt jedoch auf, dass der Auslöser so empfindlich ist, dass die echte Handkante ihn berührt und die Kamera den AF einschaltet und die Kamera auslöst, also in solchen Momenten falsche Dinge tut und das eigentliche Shooten massiv stört. Den BG auf Lock zu stellen, hilft, ist aber eine Störung im Ablauf eines Shootings wenn abwechselnd hochkant umd querformatig gearbeitet wird. SONY bietet nur mit Standardmails das Einschicken und Reparieren an, Sony-Servive Fa. Gessler/Köln sagt, es kann nicht repariert werden, der Rest ist Schweigen. Für Profianwender, die den Service von Canon kennen, ist das zu wenig. Ich werde einen BG von Meike kaufen dessen Auslöser nicht so berührungsempfindlich ist. Fazit: dieser Sony-BG ist für professionelles Shooten untauglich.

De batterijgrip is een extra handje voor mensen met grote(re) handen. Het voelt vertrouwd dat je de extra grip hebt. De camera geeft exact aan hoe je vulling in de batterijen er voor staan. Niet te lang nadenken en bestel hem direct bij je camera. Het is meer dan de moeite waard.

Für große Hände top ! Kamera liegt super in der Hand. Verarbeitung und Anbringung an der Kamera ist perfekt. Original Kameragriff lohnt sich langfristig immer. Kein billiger Nachbau. Akkuverdopplung ist perfekt. Ich liebe es so zu fotografieren!

Der Batteriegriff ist praktisch, funktioniert tadellos und ist hochwertig verarbeitet. Aber die UVP, die von Sony aufgerufen wird ist meiner Meinung nach zu hoch angesetzt. Trotzdem bin ich sehr zufrieden und würde den Griff erneut kaufen.

I bought this grip to aid me when photographing at events like music gigs and festivals. It fits snugly onto the A7RIII body and adds stability while the two battery capacity gives me all the power l need for most shoots. The grip fits well in my hands - I always find l need an extra grip such as a base plate or half case with the A7 series anyway. Moving from landscape to portrait is easy once you get it into your head that arm contortions are no longer needed. This grip does the job well and l am glad to have bought it.

Vor 2 Wochen gekauft und an meine A7r iii montiert. Da ich besonders große und schwere Brennweiten nutzen, war die Balance ein wenig raus, zwischen Kamera und Objektiv. Mit dem Batteriegriff habe ich nun eine perfekte Balance und einen optimalen Schwerpunkt. Außerdem ist die zusätzliche Batterie ein schönes Extra und erspart mir das wechseln der Batterie in vielleicht besonderen Momenten. Gibt der Kamera eine noch bessere Griffigkeit und besonders für große Hände deutlich komfortabler im Handling. Die zusätzlichen Knöpfe machen das fotografieren im Hochformat unkompliziert. Sehr gut durchdacht. Ich kann das Produkt nur weiterempfehlen. Gegebenenfalls etwas zu teuer.

Been using a Sony a99 until trading up to the a7riii. I have big hands, so I ordered the vertical grip with the camera, as the camera along just feels too small. Add the grip, and it's balanced perfectly. and of course, the benefits of the grips controls become obvious when using portrait as opposed to landscape. Superb addition to a superb camera.

Der Hochformatgriff hat für mich zwei Funktionen: Er verbessert die Handhabung der Kamera erheblich, wenn man mit aufgesteckten Blitzgerät arbeitet. Ohne Handgriff ist die Kamera aufgrund der kompakten Baugröße zu kopflastig mit Blitz. Der zweite Benefit ist, dass man eher als kompetent und professionell wahrgenommen wird, wenn die Kamera groß und wuchtig ist. Das wirkt hochwertiger, selbstbewusster, professioneller. Es muss nicht sein - aber es wirkt so. Psychologie ist ja auch wichtig. Manchmal.

zu meiner Sony A7 M III. Der Griff sorgt für noch bessere Handhabung. Kamera liegt noch besser in er Hand als nur mit der Griffverlängerung. Ist natürlich auch etwas schwerer. Akkus-Ladeanzeige funktioniert einwandfrei. Die Akkus werden nacheinander entladen bei der Benutzung der Kamera. Klare Kaufempfehlung.

I bought this at the same time as my a9 as without it the camera felt a little too small in my hands. Coming from a D850 I was used to the chunkier grip of the Nikon, but with the grip my a9 feels perfect and a lot lighter than my previous gear. The extended battery life is great and switching to vertical shooting with a 200-600 G lens attached is smooth. Buttons fall right to hand and the custom buttons function flawlessly. The addition of a lock on the vertical shutter release is a neat idea as it prevents unwanted shots being fire off if the button gets bumped. A card soon gets filled at 20 fps!!!

Die Qualität ist hervorragend. Das Gerät ist hochwertig gebaut und man hat nicht den Eindruck, dass dies nicht an die Kamera gehört. Im Gegenteil zu manchen Nachbauten ist die Funktion immer genau so, wie zu erwarten. Bei einigen Nachbauten kann es zu Fehlern kommen.

Sony Kameras sind ein wenig klein und leicht für größere Objektive. Hervorragend für die Stabilität der Kamera ist der Batteriegriff. Er verbessert die Haptik deutlich und bringt auch zusätzlichen Batteriepower .. TOLL! Nutze 2 Griffe an 2 Kameras. Das Einsetzen der Akkus fand ich aber am alten Griff der A7Rii besser!

Macht die Kombination großes 24-70mm oder 70-200mm mit der A 7 III wieder zu einer "Runden Sache". Nur der Body mit den Objektiven wirkt irgendwie etwas verloren. Der Zusatzakku bringt zusätzliches Durchhaltevermögen, was gerade bei längeren Touren/Shoots super ist. Kleines Manko - der Verschluss des Akku-Fach wirkt etwas fragil und ist relativ kompliziert zu öffnen. Durch den Schraubverschluss und das Herausziehen der Akkus auf einem Schlitten ist etwas mehr Geduld und Aufwand notwendig. Das in stressigen Situationen riskant werden.

Der Batteriegriff fügt sowohl optisch als auch haptisch gut mit dem Gehäuse meiner A9 zu einer Einheit zusammen. Er tut, was er soll. Mit diesem Zubehör kann man im Hochformat fast genauso gut fotografieren wie im Querformat. Noch besser wäre es, wenn das Display und der Sucher quadratisch wäre. Dann würde es keinen Unterschied mehr machen, ob man hochformatig oder querformatig fotografiert. Einziges Manko ist der hohe Preis.
